Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has been appointed the National campaign chairman of the Edo State Governorship Election slated for September by the National Working Committee of the PDP.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Olagbondiya made this known on his social media handle yesterday, while also announcing the Adamawa State Governor, Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri as the deputy Chairman of the committee. The committee is expected to lead the party to victory in the September poll.
This is coming after the All Progressives Congress appointed the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to head its 49-member campaign council for the Edo State governorship election.
The upcoming Edo governorship election is seen as a direct battle between the APC and PDP.
