Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has again said he never promised anybody the governorship ticket of the party, and that he did not impose the party’s flagbearer Sim Fubara on the people.
Wike in a statement on Tuesday said they all agreed and signed to support whoever emerged from the governorship primary.
He revealeded that the likes of Abiye Sekibo, Austin Opara, Celestine Omehia, Lee Maeba and many others signed and agreed to support the winner of the primary.
According to him, he would have won the presidential primary of the PDP if they had allowed it to go well, adding that the presidency was all he wanted, and that if he had wanted to go for Senate nobody would have stopped him.
“I did not impose candidate on the party, we all agreed that whoever emerged from the primaries, we will support that person, we all signed. Abiye, Sekibo, Omehia, Austin Opara, Lee Maeba.. they were all here… I never promised anybody governorship ticket,” he said.
