The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved new Caretaker Committees for Enugu, Delta and Rivers States, acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and in line with Section 29(2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended).
Enugu State Committee: Barr. Steve Oruruo (Chairman), Ugwu Uchenna Godswill, Lilian C.C. Ugwoke, Anikezie Michael, Cosmas Chinwe Ugwu, Barr. Basil Aguigwo, Chief Cosmas Onyia, Barr. Peter Ajah, Martin Ugwuamadieze (Secretary).
Delta State Committee: Prof. Sylvester Monye (Chairman), Ujor Ucheonny, Pharm. Victor Ofobrukueta, Comdr. Johnbull Aghogho Kenairu, Jackson Agbor, Onajega Mike, Chief Ekiyor Charles, Hon. Mrs. Vero Egbuna, Chukwunonso Alex Ndah, Walter Uguoye, Dr. Michael Tidi, Esq (Secretary).
Rivers State Committee: Dr. Nname Robinson Ewor (Chairman), Mr. Alalibo Graham Braide, Princess Isioma Stella Braide, Arc. Eldred Owpelu-Orubo, Austin Ema Wali, Mr. Ada Utong, Mr. Edward Nubari David, Dr. Paul Baribeful Nkor, Ogbam Ojimah (Secretary).
The committees are mandated to run the party’s affairs in their respective states for up to 90 days or until new executives are elected, as provided in Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP Constitution.
They are expected to operate strictly in line with the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Act 2022, and the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
National Organizing Secretary Theophilus Dakas Shan congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their duties diligently.
