Former Federal Lawmaker, Sen. Lee Maeba has said that the National Chairman of he PDP, Iyorchia Ayu will not resign his position as reportedly demanded by the Gov. Nyesom Wike camp.
There are reports that the Wike camp demanded for the resignation of Ayu amongst others things during a meeting with Presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar in London. The meeting was geared towards resolving the crises rocking the party.
Maeba, who took a swipe at Gov. Wike and his men, said nobody that wants the party to win election would be demanding for a convention at this time. “Who wants the party to win the election and be demanding for a convention at this time, in the middle of the election?
Maeba who is an ally of Atiku Abubakar is currently having a running battle with Gov. Wike for allegedly holding meeting with enemies of the state.
He had in an interview berated Gov. Wike accusing him of threatening to collapse the party if he loses the presidential primary.
