The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced a nationwide digital membership registration exercise across all wards in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The party’s National Working Committee approved the initiative, which is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will run for three weeks.
According to a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the exercise is aimed at compiling a comprehensive digital membership register in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026. The Act mandates all political parties to submit a digital register of their members to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Registration will take place daily, except on Sundays, at all ward, chapter and state offices of the party nationwide. Special cases will be handled at the PDP National Secretariat.
To ensure a smooth process, a special committee headed by the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan, has been constituted to supervise the exercise and address any complaints that may arise during the registration period.
The party has urged its members and interested members of the public to visit the nearest PDP office within their wards to participate in the registration.
For further enquiries, the party provided a dedicated phone line, 08035555800, and an email address, info@iampdp.org.
