The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has urged the Federal Government to revisit or overhaul its macroeconomic policies, citing widespread hardship inflicted on Nigerians. This resolution was part of a communiqué issued at the end of their first meeting of 2025, held at the Government House, Asaba, Delta State.

The forum commended member states for implementing policies that mitigated the impact of socio-economic challenges and laid foundations for sustainable development. However, the governors emphasized that state progress would remain limited unless the federal government’s harsh economic measures were addressed.

The forum also noted progress in resolving internal party issues concerning the National Secretary position, reaffirming support for the Court of Appeal’s judgment and advising the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to implement it promptly. Additionally, the governors recommended rescheduling the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to March 13, 2025
