Factional Acting National Chairman of the PDP Umar Illiya Damagum has directed security agencies to arrest Ahmed Yayari Mohammed, who heads the other faction.
Acting National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi Manga, representing the Damagum-led faction, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
According to him, the party had no choice but to seek the involvement of security agencies to enforce the court’s ruling and restore order.
Recall that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had restrained the PDP from removing Damagum as National Chairman. This was after he was suspended by the faction led by Debo Olugunagba.
