The National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party has inspected the proposed venue for the party’s National Convention slated for March 29–30, 2026.
Members of the committee visited the Velodrome at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, which has been selected as the likely location for the convention.
The inspection was carried out to evaluate the venue’s readiness, suitability, and logistical capacity ahead of the gathering expected to attract party leaders, delegates, stakeholders, and observers from across the country.
During the visit, committee members assessed several key facilities at the venue, including seating capacity, security arrangements, accessibility, accommodation options, and other infrastructure necessary for the successful hosting of the event.
The committee stressed the need for proper planning and coordination, noting that the National Convention is a significant platform where the party takes major decisions and discusses its future direction.
Officials of the committee also engaged with relevant authorities and local organizers to ensure that all preparations meet the party’s standards.
The NCWC expressed confidence that the Velodrome at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium provides a suitable setting for a peaceful, well-organized, and successful convention.
