The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed a new caretaker committee for Rivers State as part of a broader move to stabilise party leadership in five states.
The National Working Committee (NWC), acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), approved the appointments for Delta, Enugu, Imo, Rivers, and Osun States.
Rivers State Caretaker Committee include, Ogbam Ojimah – Chairman
Dr. Field Baribeful Nkor – Secretary
Richard Enyia Victor – Member
Grace Boma Harry – Member
Princess Isioma Stella Elenwa – Member
Arc. Eldred Owupele-Orubo – Member
Austin Emeka Wali – Member
Mr. Ada Udong – Member
Mr. Edward Nubari David – Member
Other States with Caretaker Committees
The PDP also approved caretaker committees for Delta, Enugu, Imo, and Osun states, with the appointed members tasked with managing party affairs until new executives are elected.
The committees are to manage the party’s affairs in their respective states as outlined in Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP Constitution. Their tenure is not to exceed 90 days, or until a new executive committee is elected.
