Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Christ Embassy church has blasted religious leaders in the country for approving guidelines for the reopening of worship centres, saying their days are numbered. This is after the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 lifted the ban on religious gatherings few days ago.
The clergyman blasted the church leaders who signed the agreement stating that such leaders have supported the lockdown on churches due to greed, fear and jealousy. He made this known while preaching in his church yesterday, Saturday July 7 2020.
The guidelines by the PTF, stipulates that places of worship should ensure temperature check of members before entry; social distancing, conduct just one hour service, suspension of Holy Communion and weekly activities amongst others.
He furthermore noted that they are the ones sending out modalities for the reopening of churches under shameful requirements.
