The Rivers State Police Command, has dismissed reports that Pastor, Felix Duruebube of Mercy House Church International accused of raping a 16-year-old girl has been released from custody.
Family of the victim had few days ago accused the Rumuodumaya Police Division of releasing the suspect from custody.
However, Acting Police Spokesperson in the state, DSP, Grace Iringi Koko in a statement yesterday, confirmed that the pastor is in Police custody.
She said the suspect is currently being investigatd by the State Criminal Investigation Department, and that he will be chaged to court once investigation is concluded.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have commended the Police over the arrest of the suspect, and called for justice to be served in the mattter.
