Lawmaker representing Obio/Akpor Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. O. K. Chinda has urged his colleagues to reconsider the minimum wage act and pass it into law.
Speaking at the floor of the House, Chinda urged his colleagues to pass the act into law with the same speed used in passing the new National Anthem bill into law.
According to him, Nigerian workers cannot survive with the current minimum wage considering the high cost of living, adding that they deserve better.
As you may know the government is proposing N62,000 as minimum wage. Labour was yet to reject or accept it
