Abuja, Nigeria – A group of concerned parents gathered at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) office to protest what they described as unusually low scores recorded by their children in the recently released Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
The demonstration follows a recent report by JAMB which revealed that over 70 percent of candidates scored below 200, sparking widespread concern among students and guardians.
Some parents claimed their children, who had previously achieved high scores in past JAMB attempts, received unexpectedly poor results this year. Protesters demanded an immediate review of the released scores and greater transparency in the grading process.
JAMB has yet to issue an official response to the protest.
