The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has distributed an additional 900 laptops to beneficiaries of its scholarship scheme in Nigerian universities, marking the third phase of the initiative within the country.
The latest batch of beneficiaries comprises students from partner institutions, including the Nigeria Maritime University and the Admiralty University of Nigeria, as well as those from non-partner institutions such as Dennis Osadebey University, Southern Delta University, and the University of Delta.
The presentation of the laptops took place on Friday, in line with the directive of the PAP Administrator, Dennis Otuaro. The programme had earlier distributed 663 laptops in May 2025 and another 1,857 units in November 2025.
This development was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the administrator’s media aide, Igoniko Oduma.
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Special Projects, Engr. Sokoto Victor, Otuaro said the initiative underscores the programme’s firm commitment to human capital development in the Niger Delta.
He emphasised that education remains a critical tool for personal advancement, innovation, and sustainable development, not only in the region but across the country.
