The King of Oyigbo Kingdom, Eze Mike Waji has appealed to those in possession of firearms belonging to the military to submit it to them or better still bring it to him so he can hand it over to the military.
The monarch disclosed this in a chat with journalists in his palace yesterday.
He said, it is untrue that military personnel are shooting sporadically and breaking into people’s homes to kill them as no such thing is going on in the area.
He said the soldiers are not harassing anybody as they now rely on information to go after those alleged to have killed their officers and carted away their rifles.
He further appealed to residents to be law abiding and desist from any act capable of causing crises in the area.
