The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of three of its officers during the Oyigbo mayhem few days ago.
The state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan in a statement yesterday said, Inspector Sunday Dubon, Sgt. Umunna Uchechukwu and Sgt. Swawale Ornan were killed and burnt to ashes in Oyigbo by hoodlums.
Mukan also noted that 21 persons suspected to be members the IPOB alleged to have carried out the attacks have been arrested.
He said investigation is still ongoing to arrest more perpetrators of the crime. He furthermore stated that they will be prosecuted and those found wanting, brought to book.
