Senator Adams Oshiomhole has said President Bola Tinubu should not be expected to fix Nigeria’s ailing economy within just 24 months in office.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the former Edo State governor attributed the current economic challenges to years of mismanagement by previous administrations.
While refraining from assigning blame to any specific government, Oshiomhole said the president inherited a deeply troubled economy and insisted that significant progress has already been made.
“The kind of economy that was inherited by this government… you expect that in 24 months he would have fixed all the problems and Nigeria would be back?” Oshiomhole said. “Truly, this country was badly mismanaged… but I feel I can say that the worst is over.”
