The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro LGA, Rt. Hon. Enyiada Cookey-Gam, has assured of his commitment to annual bursary payments, with the next round expected in 2025.
Cookey-Gam made this known during a courtesy visit by the executives of the National Union of Opobo Students (NUOS) at his residence in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the payment of Bursary is an annual exercise, which must be performed.
The chairman also directed the NUOS president to nominate a graduate for the position of Special Assistant on Student Affairs also pledging to consider the union’s request for an 18-seater bus to aid student transportation.
