Faith based organisation, Omega Power Ministry (OPM) has offered scholarship to 75 students in Port Harcourt to study abroad. A son of one of the surviving Ikokwu 4, Ifeanyi Onyekwere is a beneficiary.
General Overseer of the Church, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who made this known yesterday in Port Harcourt said the initiative was made possible with the tithes and offerings of members of the Church.
He noted that the kind gesture is part of the church’s resolve to helping the less privileged in the society. He said he was moved to embark on the programme because of his love for humanity.
The cleric said he has been carrying out such initiatives since the last 10 years and that another exam will be conducted for students in November.
The GO thanked his partners for their support, while calling on other churches to embark on such initiatives geared towards helping the vulnerable in society.
