The Executive Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State, Vincent Job says plans are underway for a sports programme that will create opportunities for primary and secondary school students in the area.
Job in a statement said he decided to leverage on opportunities in sport by creating the enabling environment for the youths to develop their talents.
He also said sports is one unique thing that calms the youths, unites them and also tackles restiveness.
“Sports has helped to tame social vices… it brings the youths together and there is no enemy in football. It unites the youths, so, we plan to go into primary and secondary schools in ONELGA to catch them young,” he said.
