A cart pusher was today shot during a fight between officials of the Rivers State Taskforce and okada riders at Choba junction in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
sources say security operatives attached to the Taskforce officials shot sporadically in the air to prevent the motocyclists from attacking the officials.
An eyewitness said fight broke out when the okada riders attempted to stop the officials from seizing their motorcycles.
He explained that the cart pusher was hit by stray bullet, and was immediately rushed to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The Police is yet to react to the incident.
