A man was yesterday hit by stray bullet from Police officers at the Garrison phone village in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Trouble started when officers stormed the area to arrest someone accused of phone theft and were resisted by phone dealers at the market.
A trader at the market who made this known to us said the man was in his shop when the bullet hit him, and fell down screaming for help.
She noted that the man was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
She also said the incident caused panic in the market as traders and customers scampered for safety.
She explained that after the fight which lasted for minutes the Police failed to arrest the suspect.
The Police was yet to react the incident as at the time of filing the report.
