One person has reportedly died after a jetty collapsed at Isaka in Okirika Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The incident happened yesterday, after an usual rush from a widely attended burial.
A special assistant to the Okirika Local Government Chairman who confirmed the incident in a statement, said others were rescued by local divers.
Eyewitnesses say the dilapidated jetty crashed due to the large number of persons on it at a time.
