The Omuma Scholarship Board has commenced payments under the scholarship scheme initiated by Rt. Hon. Promise Reginald, Executive Chairman of Omuma Local Government Area in Rivers State.
Dr Nwala Bigman, Chairman of the Board, confirmed the commencement of payments in a statement.
According to the Board, ₦4 million was allocated for the first phase of the scheme, benefiting 10 students across the ten wards of Omuma. Each beneficiary received ₦400,000 to cover tuition, textbooks, acceptance fees, and other school-related expenses for their first year.
