The Rives State Commissioner for Energy, Maximus Nwafor has alleged that he was attacked in Omuma LGA, yesterday after the Supreme Court victory thanksgiving of Gov. Sim Fubara.
Hon. Nwafor in a statement alleged that the Council Chairman, Hon. Chisom Nwaiwu and Federal lawmaker, Hon. Kelechi Nwogu led thugs who attacked him and his aides.
According to him, an Inspector of Police attached to Kelechi Nwogu, Micheal Etim pointed a gun at him, but he was rescued by his aides.
He revealed that some of his aides were injured in the attack, and called on the state Commissioner of Police to investigate the matter and ensure the arrest of the perpetrators.
