The Wife of the Executive Chairman of Omuma Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Linda C. Obasi, will on Saturday, October 11, 2025, host a special event in celebration of Omuma Girls as part of activities marking the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child.
The event, themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” will take place at the Council Conference Hall, Eberi Omuma, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
According to the organisers, the programme is designed to inspire, empower, and celebrate the resilience and leadership of the girl child within the Omuma community and beyond. Participants are expected to be seated before the commencement of the event.
The celebration underscores the local government’s commitment to promoting gender equality, education, and empowerment opportunities for girls in line with global advocacy for the rights and development of the girl child.
