Newly sworn-in Chairman of Omuma Local Government Area, Hon. Reginald Promise has accused member representing Etche/Omuma federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Kelechi Nwogu of masterminding the attack on the council secretariat.
Promise made the allegation while swearing in Vice Chairman and Councillors of the council on Monday.
According to him, suspected thugs loyal to the lawmaker stormed the council on Monday morning and started shooting sporadically to prevent them from gaining entrance.
He added that the attack will not stop them from carrying out their duties to take the council to greater heights.
He called on security agencies to ensure the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in the attack, and assured the Omuma People of his readiness to deliver the dividends of democracy.
