Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Hon. Darlington Nwauju has described the state Assembly as the only House that cooks retroactive laws.

This is in reaction to the derecognition of Sir. Celestine Omehia as a former governor of Rivers State, years after it recognised him as one.

Nwauju in a statement Today, said it took the Assembly eighty-eight months to discover the supreme Court judgement on the Governorship of state in 2007.

According to him, he is ashamed of those supporting this “brigandage” especially those on social media.

“The only State Assembly that cooks retroactive laws! SHAME PRO MAX,” he said.

“It took an important arm of govt eighty-eight (88) months to discover the 2007 October 25 Supreme Court judgement on the Governorship of Rivers State. Am only ashamed of those supporting this brigandage! Especially the cheerleaders on this app. Shame dey catch me on una behalf,” he added.
