Factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, has approved scholarship grants for PhD and Master’s students from Bonny Constituency.
Media aide to Oko-Jumbo, Stephen Banigo said under the educational intervention scheme, PhD students will receive ₦500,000 each, while Master’s students will be awarded ₦200,000. He said the initiative will benefit six PhD students and 12 Master’s students enrolled in full-time programs at public universities in Nigeria who have completed at least one year of study.
He also said the ntervention aims to ease the financial burden on postgraduate students and contribute to the human capital development of Bonny Constituency and Rivers State.
