A youth leader in Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo has accused International Oil Companies, of being behind the rising spate of insecurity in the state.
Ihunwo in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday, said Oil Companies are empowering former militant Leaders with arms.
He said, monies paid to former militant leaders by these Oil companies for surveillance jobs, are been used to purchase arms and ammunition.
Chijioke Ihunwo also accused some traditional rulers of fuelling crises in the state, as he warned them to desist from such acts.
He called on Governor, Nyesom Wike to call for a stakeholders meeting, so as to address the rising spate of insecurity in the oil rich State.
