The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi has offered free WAEC GCE forms to over 100 indigent applicants of the area for the forthcoming examination this year.
Media aide to the governor, Emeka Idika in a statement said the beneficiaries, who are from different Communities across the Local Government Area, include applicants who have previously attempted WAEC or NECO exams but were unable to obtain the required five credits, as well as first-time applicants.
The Ogu/Bolo Council Boss said the initiative aims to increase participation in Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE in the area, ease financial burden on the applicants and their families as well as promote education and career advancement in the area.
He said the initiative which also aims to create a more inclusive environment for educational success, empower indigent students with a valuable opportunity to succeed academically and improve their socio-economic prospects, would be sustained.
