The Ogbakor Etche Rivers State University chapter, convened its monthly meeting on Tuesday at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. The meeting, attended by a diverse range of members, marked a significant gathering to address various pertinent issues.
One of the key highlights of the gathering was the discussion surrounding the upcoming inaugural lecture of the Chapter’s President, Professor N. H. A. Nwafor. Scheduled to be the first by a Professor from the Etche Ethnic Nationality at Rivers State University, the lecture is anticipated to be a milestone for the Etche community.
The gathering witnessed a significant number of association members, among whom were prominent individuals like Professor N. H. A. Nwafor – the President of the Ogbakor Etche RSU Chapter; Engr. Nnamdi Munonye – the Secretary, Ogbakor Etche RSU Chapter; and Prof Hycienth Nwankwoala. The success of the occasion was enhanced by the enthusiastic involvement of Chapter Members from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
Hosting this month’s meeting were esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Sarah Chidiebere Joe, Dr. Njoku Justice, D. N.N. Nwankpa, Mrs. Juliet Onyeanuna, Mr. Nwankwo Kingdom (the Faculty Coordinator of Ogbakor Etche, RSU Chapter), Mrs. Miriam Emmanuel, and Mr. Onyeso Lawrence.
A notable guest at the meeting was the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Professor Richard N. Amadi. His brief appearance served as a token of support for the Chapter’s President and an encouragement to all members of the association.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with members expressing optimism and enthusiasm for the upcoming inaugural lecture and future activities of the Ogbakor Etche chapter.
