OBIO/AKPOR, April 18, 2025 – Former Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo, has reaffirmed the unwavering support of Obio/Akpor residents for Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking during a meeting with leaders of the Simplified Movement on Friday, Ihunwo stated that the people remain firmly aligned with the governor due to his peaceful disposition, which he said continues to inspire confidence and loyalty.

Ihunwo stressed that despite ongoing political developments in the state, the allegiance of Obio/Akpor people to Governor Fubara remains resolute.

Also speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Power, Hon. Solomon Eke, urged leaders to emulate the governor’s peaceful approach in their activities. He reiterated that the governor retains the full backing of Obio/Akpor residents.
