The Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo has suspended election into the Eligbam Youth Movement with immediate effect.
Ihunwo in a statement said the council has also barred election into the CDC and any other youth body in Eligbam community.
“Note that no community in the LGA is allowed to conduct elections into any of its youth bodies without the approval of the council and security agencies.
“This is to enable the council to limit the loads of complaints by aggrieved groups and individuals that usually characterize such elections,” he said.
