Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi has revealed why he visited the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike at Government House in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.
The former Governor of Anambra State in a post on Twitter said he visited Wike to confer with him on vital issues of national interest.
“Earlier today, I visited Port-Harcourt, to confer with H.E. @GovWike on vital issues of national interest,” he said
Obi, had earlier visited the state to meet with stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the party’s primary, when he was a member of the PDP.
He would later dump the PDP to clinch the ticket of the Labour party.
Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports that Wike might be on his way to Labour Party.
However, Wike has maintained that he would not leave the PDP.
