Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election and former governor of Anambra State, has explained the reason behind his visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
Obi stated that his visit was aimed at discussing strategies to alleviate poverty and reduce crime in the region.
“We need to discuss hunger. We need to discuss poverty. We need to discuss education. We need to discuss health. What concerns the people should be the priority of the political class,” Obi said.
His visit comes amid ongoing concerns about economic hardship and insecurity in Nigeria, with political leaders emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address these challenges.
