The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has clarified that Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, is not a registered member of its party.
ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made the disclosure during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday night.
While confirming Obi’s non-membership, Abdullahi emphasized that the former Anambra State governor has been aligned with the party’s coalition from the onset.
“He is not a card-carrying member of the ADC,” Abdullahi said. “But he has been part of the coalition from the beginning, and we continue to regard him as a partner in the struggle for good governance in Nigeria.”
