The Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo has berated factional Speaker of the Rivers State Assembly, Hon. Martin Amaewhule, stating that he is yet to attract development to his people.
Chijioke Ihunwo said this when he hosted the Eliozu youths Association on a solidarity visit on Monday.
According to him, the people of Oro-igwe have not benefitted from Amaewhule’s many years in politics which started in 2004.
“Martins Amaewhule has been in power since 2004 when he was elected as a councilor and leader of the Obio/Akpor legislative council and till today, he has been in power.”
“He was the majority leader of the Rivers state house of assembly for two tenure and yet we do not have Oro-igwe internal road, let me add that as far as Oro-igwe is concerned Martin Amaewhule has not made any person but I see some people following him, what has Martin Amaewhule attracted to our people between Rumunduru, Rumuewhera, Eligmbu and Eliozu, mention one thing you got from the recommendation of Martin Amaewhule, he asked.”
