The Rivers state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, says Chijioke Ihunwo remains the duly elected chairman of the council in the state.
Stakeholders of the Council disclosed this in a statement amid the leadership crisis rocking the youth body.
Meanwhile, Chijioke Ihunwo has accused the FCT Minister – Nyesom Wike of bankrolling one Sukubo Saraigbe to incite violence in the union.
Ihunwo who made this known in a statement said Sukubo was paid by the former Rivers state governor to cause crisis in the council.
According to him, he remains the authentic and only chairman of the NYCN in the state, describing Sukubo as an impostor.
He reiterated that youths in the state will continue to support the state governor, Sim Fubara at all cost.
Recall that Ihunwo had raised an alarm over threats to his life for supporting the governor.
