Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike has reacted to the suspension of three LG Chairmen by Governor Nyemso Wike of Rivers state.
The Ikwerre council boss while appearing on Nigeria Info’s Hard Facts with Dayo Elusakin, said he believes the governor is doing the local government chairmen “a favour.”
He noted that the governor did not go against any law in suspending the chairmen, as he is totally backed by the laws of the land to caution council chairmen.
Governor Wike has recently come under criticisms following his suspension of three local government chairmen in the state. While some members of the state hold the view that he has no such powers, others say he was right in doing so.
