Chairman of ikwerre LGA, Hon. Samuel Nwanosike has described as worrisome the activities of land grabbers in Ikwerre and Obio/Akpor LGAs respectively.

Nwanosike in a statement said land grabbing has led to killings and maiming of innocent members of the Communities around Rumuekini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He said, “I use this medium to bring to your notice, and the knowledge of members of the public the right incident that happened in Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area on 29th day of April, 2024 wherein the following persons; Lucky Emmanuel, “AKA” De-Bull, Emmanuel Elekwachi “AKA” Aboki and other group of cultist that have resorted to terrorizing members of Aluu and Rumuekini Towns over the following lands;

Ohai Izor Walter
Ohia Ihu Walter
Ohia Oha
Ohia Omuorchi in Omuchiolu village Aluu town.

The land grabbing activities have become worrisome and further stem to killing and maiming of innocent people members of the Communities around Rumuekini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It is important to state that one Mr. Lucky Emmanuel, “AKA” De- Bull the owner of D-Light Hotel Omuoda in Aluu which he uses to carry out Kidnaping and Child traffic business, and for which the Ikwerre Local Government authority in the past SEALED the said hotel and placed Mr. Lucky Emmanuel on wanted list from that date. Eventually, when the manager was arrested and confessional statements obtained from her, the authorities still released her for the reasons best known to them without proper investigation and arrest of the said Lucky Emmanuel.

Unfortunately, after the release of the manager, the said Lucky Emmanuel “AKA” De-Bull continued with his nefarious activities including land grappling. His activities have brought concerned and worry to the Local Government Area.

It is very disheartening and disturbing to know that on the said date, Mr. Lucky Emmanuel led his group to the land between Rumuekini and Aluu and in a gun duel shot down three (3) persons and buried in a shallow grave which has created tension and panic in Communities abutting Rumuekini and Aluu Towns.

Impeccable information has it that the bodies of these unknown persons that were buried in shallow graves have been exhumed by Security operatives and deposited in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH).

I want to reiterate here that Ikwerre Local Government Council authority has been on this matter to ensure that Mr. Lucky Emmanuel, AKA De-Bull, his brother Elekwachi Emmanuel and his gang were apprehended . At present, we want to emphatically State that the security authorities; the Inspector General of Police (IGP) , Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, Director of SSS, Rivers State Command, the GOC Commanding 6 Division Nigeria Army , and other security apparatus should take serious action to arrest, investigate and prosecute these group of persons terrorizing these villages within Ikwerre and Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State for the safety and peace of the people living and doing business thereof.

We believe in the strength of our security operatives, and enjoin them to do their jobs it is required by the law in this present circumstance.

Thank you and God Bless you all.
