The Chairman of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Engr. Samuel Nwanosike, has described Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the leader of the state.
Nwanosike remarked in a statement issued after a meeting with the Governor at the Rivers State Government House, where he announced the suspension of the monthly sanitation exercise.
According to him, the suspension will enable the agency to build greater capacity in tackling waste management across the state.
He added that Governor Fubara is committed to introducing a new approach to waste management and ensuring that RIWAMA’s operations reflect a human-centred approach in serving the people of Rivers State.
