The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike has called on the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), to scrutinize its members and ensure they work for the good of the community, state and the country at large.
Nwanosike who made this known yesterday while inaugurating members of the newly constituted Ikwerre/Etche Policing Advisory Committee said the union should check the activities of charlatans, embarking on frustrating the efforts of the government in the fight against insecurity.
The council boss who charged the newly constituted members to work for the good of the LGAs said allowing criminals access to media platforms to incite the pubic against the government is a serious crime that should be dealt with.
