The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has called for a thorough investigation into allegations made by former Head of Service, George Nwaeke, against Governor Sim Fubara.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Tony Okocha-led APC faction, Ikenga Chibike described the claims as “too weighty to be ignored” and urged security agencies to take action.
Chibike emphasized that Nwaeke, having been privy to the governor’s political activities, may possess crucial information to support his allegations. He noted that the former HoS was a key member of the State Executive Council and a critical stakeholder in the Rivers State government.
“These allegations are very embarrassing and must be taken seriously to determine their validity. Nwaeke is known as a responsible man, and we do not believe he would make frivolous claims. His revelations are shocking, and we are deeply concerned,” he said.
The APC urged security agencies to launch an investigation to ascertain the extent of the allegations and ensure accountability.
