President of the National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), Levi Zachariah George has commended Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for proactive measures taken in curbing the spread of the COVID-19 in the state.
Levi Zachariah stated this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday.
Meanwhile, he reacted to the decision of the federal government not to go on with the resumption of schools, saying the students should not be made to suffer any longer. He wondered why schools are still shutdown when airports and other public organizations have reopened.
The NURSS President said there should be plans on how to live with the virus, because the WHO has predicted that the virus is not going anytime soon. He called on the government to consider reopening schools, while putting the necessary measures in place, to ensure the safety of students.
