The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, says its members have been directed to suspend the lifting of petrol to Rivers, Imo and Cross River States.
National Officer of NUPENG, Mr. Alex Agwanwor disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
According to him, trucks carrying products from Imo State to Rivers State were burnt along Ohaji/Egbema road by security operatives few days ago.
He said the incident is one of the reasons why members were ordered to halt the supply of products to these states.
He also said the bad state and shortage of tankers is behind the scarcity of petrol.
