National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE in Rivers State has called on its members to embark on a solidarity strike from Monday, September 21, 2020.
This is following the expiration of a 14 day ultimatum given to the council boss of Ahoada-West LGA, Hope Ikiriko, to pay salaries of workers of the council.
Chairman of NULGE in the State, Clifford Paul made this known in a statement today after a meeting of the leadership of the union.
Over a hundred workers of the council had few days ago carried out a massive protest against the council boss over non-payment of their salaries.
