The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) will release the final report on the October 24, 2024, helicopter crash in Port Harcourt before the end of 2025, according to the agency’s Director General, Capt. Alex Badeh Jr.
Badeh disclosed this during a televised interview on Monday, stating that investigators now have a clearer understanding of the factors that led to the crash.
The helicopter, with registration number 5N-BQG, was operated by East Wind Aviation and contracted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). It went down along the waterways in Bonny Island, Rivers State, resulting in the deaths of all eight people on board.
