Nyima Nwagua has been announced as captain of Rivers United ahead of the new season.
The Club made the announcement on its official Facebook page.
The statement reads,
We are delighted to announce that Nyima Nwagua has been named our new team captain.
The prolific forward has made a huge impact since joining the Pride of Rivers from Kano Pillars in September 2021 and will take over as captain from Festus Austin who has been elevated to the position of Team Coordinator
Nwagua has experience of wearing the armband, having been stand-in captain in some of our NPFL and CAF Confederation’s Cup matches last season.
We wish Nyima Nwagua every success as our captain.
