Each player of Rivers United Football will get the sum of N12 million from the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for winning the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Gov. Wike disclosed this when the team presented the trophy to him at Government House in Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
The governor also promised to sponsor the players to Real Madrid on a two-week training tour.
“Today, our own Rivers United F. C. winners of Npflofficial 2021/2022 season were at the Government House to formally present their trophy.
We are elated at their victory and the record margin they used to win the league.
To encourage them, the players will get $20,000 each and be sponsored to Real Madrid on a 2-week training tour.
We are also fully committed to supporting the team to ensure they excel in their continental competition,” Wike said.
